To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to his answer of 5 May 2004,Official Report, column 1613W, on erectile dysfunction, if he will ask primary care trusts to collate information on recorded instances of erectile dysfunction, broken down by age group. [172790]

Health Service Circular (HSC) 1999/177, issued on 6 August 1999, contains guidance to general practitioners on criteria for determining whether a patient is suffering from severe distress as a result of erectile dysfunction.

We have no plans to issue further guidance.
