To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many licensed fertility clinics have had their licences(a) suspended and (b) revoked by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority in each year since 1991. [166910]

The number of licence suspensions and revocations for failure to comply with the provisions of either the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority's code of practice or the conditions of the establishment's licence, since 1997, are shown in the table.
