§ Miss Melanie JohnsonHealthy living centres (HLCs) all vary in the approaches that they use and the settings in which they work. In some cases, the HLC will be a building, but in others it will be a network with a range of projects taking place in a number of different locations within a neighbourhood.
Of the 257 HLCs in England, 54 schemes have received capital grants for building. Of these, 26 have been built, 17 are in the process of being built and 11 are planned.
