§ Lord WhittyThe Environment Agency has not, nor does it intend to establish a forum to co-ordinate the interests of those involved in the voluntary sector for angling and fishing. The Environment Agency is committed to working with angling interests in developing angling, but does not believe it is its role to co-ordinate an angling forum. The Government agree with the agency's view, and that of the Salmon and Freshwater Fisheries Review Group, that such a forum is one for the angling governing bodies to establish.
