§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Lord Whitty)As at 28 April 2004, the department is disputing £55.4 million of charges claimed by 28 contractors in connection with the foot and mouth disease outbreak in 2001.
