To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many NHS hospital beds are allocated for the treatment of teenage and young adult patients with cancer. [163889]

Information is not collected on the number of beds designated for cancer patients. These beds will be included in the overall total of general and acute beds. Information on the average daily number of beds for each national health service trust is published annually on the Department's website at http://www.performance.doh.gov.uk/hospitalactivity/ index.htm.
