When the cross-compliance consultation on the common agricultural policy payments scheme will begin; over what period of time it will run; and when they will respond to the consultation exercise. [HL1969]

I anticipate that the consultation on cross-compliance measures in England will be announced shortly and will run through the spring. Ministers will make decisions as soon as possible after considering the consultation responses.
