asked Her Majesty's Government:

Further to the Written Answer by the Minister of Sport on 23 February (HC Deb, 38W), what is their intention regarding use of proceeds from any sale of the assets of the National Stud. [HL1916]

The Written Answer confirmed that the Government hope to be able to transfer, for no consideration, the National Stud, which is the sum of its assets, to a new independent charitable trust; and that it is not the intention to sell the assets. No conclusions have been reached about the use of proceeds in the event that a sale becomes necessary.
