§ Mr. BlunkettIdentity cards will provide a clear indication of a person's identity and in the case of foreign nationals their entitlement to work. They will give the vast majority of legitimate employers a simpler and more reliable way of complying with the law. Cards will also make enforcement activity against unscrupulous employers more effective.
