HC Deb 17 March 2004 vol 419 c293W
8. Mr. Hunter

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the progress of the current talks about the future of the Belfast agreement. [160824]

Mr. Spellar

As my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister said last week, after the St . Patrick's Day break the two Governments will be seeking to inject fresh momentum into the dialogue between the political parties, with a view to securing early movement on an end to paramilitarism and the return of devolved government. The Prime Minister and the Taoiseach will visit Northern Ireland next Tuesday for discussions with the parties.
