§ Baroness Scotland of AsthalThe current proceedings relate to deprivation of citizenship not deportation. The appeal against deprivation is currently awaiting a hearing by the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC). The timing of the appeal is in the hands of SIAC, not the Home Office. It is well aware of the need for the matter to be dealt with expeditiously. The appeal is listed to start on 26 April.
