HC Deb 04 March 2004 vol 418 cc1061-2W
23. Mr. Tom Harris

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list his public spending commitments to 2006 for International Development. [158490]

Mr. Boateng

As set out following the conclusion of Spending Review 2002 in July 2002, the Department for International Development's budget for this Financial Year is £3.64 billion. This will rise to £3.78 billion next year and will reach £4.53 billion in financial year 2005–06. This represents the largest ever increase in UK aid levels.
