To ask the secretary of state for Defence how many citizens of the Republic of Ireland are serving in her Majesty's armed forces. [155649]

There are currently 65 naval service personnel and 200 Army personnel with a Republic of Ireland nationality shown on their Record of Service.

Insufficient data are available to produce reliable estimates for the RAF.
