§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Lord Warner)The Health Professions Council (HPC) is responsible for establishing standards of education and training and for approving courses of education and training for the professions it regulates. The HPC expects to begin its own consultation on these standards shortly. All relevant stakeholders, including professional bodies, will have the opportunity to contribute to the consultation process.
