To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many cases of infections with the bacteriaacinetobacter there were in the NHS in each year since 1996. [179162]

Data on hospital acquiredacinetobacter infections are not collected centrally. However, the Health Protection Agency has a voluntary reporting system for blood stream (bacteraemia) infections and the available data are shown in the table.
