§ Mr. RammellMinisters have on a number of occasions discussed with their Iranian counterparts the Iranian authorities' treatment of student demonstrators. EU Foreign Ministers made clear their deep concern at the arrest of several thousand students during the most recent large-scale demonstrations in July 2003. The EU has raised our concerns about individual student detainees in sessions of the EU/Iran human rights dialogue.
