§ Miss Melanie JohnsonThe legal costs incurred by the Department in opposing the application of the Health Food Manufacturers Association and the National Association of Health Stores with regards to the Food Supplements Directive were in the region of £13,000. Should the claimants' case prove unsuccessful, it would be normal Government practice to pursue the legal costs incurred.
