To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make it his policy to establish a defence export and market access forum. [177401]

§ Mr. Ingram
The Government's Defence Industrial Policy, launched in October 2002, recommended the setting up of a forum to address export promotion issues and improved access for United Kingdom industry into key foreign markets. The Defence Export and Market Access Forum is chaired by the Head of Defence Export Services and the first meeting was held on 12 March 2003.
