To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on the training issues for maternity services that would apply to a demerger of the Epsom and St. Helier NHS Trust. [176956]

§ Mr. Hutton
No plans exist within Epsom and St. Helier National Health Services Trust or South West London Strategic Health Authority for the demerger of Epsom and St Helier at this time.
Furthermore, the trust has not undertaken any studies in relation to any services on the effect of a demerger.
