To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the money spent in each county in England and Wales over the last year on roads by(a) the Highways Agency and (b) local authorities. [174161]

The table below sets out the latest available information on road spend by local authorities and the Highways Agency by county. Actual spend by local authorities in 2003/04 is not yet confirmed so the table provides the spend for 2002/03.

Information on Wales is available from the Welsh Assembly.
