HC Deb 21 July 2004 vol 424 cc344-5W
Mr. Ancram

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether Foreign Office officials are in regular contact with their US counterparts concerning the co-ordination of intelligence on persons banned from entering the United Kingdom and the United States. [183775]

Mr. Straw

[holding answer 14 July 2004]: The US and UK co-ordinate closely on intelligence matters. It is the longstanding practice of successive Governments not to comment on intelligence and security matters. The security and intelligence agencies are outside the scope of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information (paragraph 6, part 1).
