To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what the travel costs were of civil servants in(a) his Department and (b) its predecessor Department in each year since 1997. [183891]

The Scotland Office was established on 1 July 1999.

The following table shows the overall expenditure costs of civil servants in the Scot Land Office and the Office of the Advocate-General on travel and subsistence since that date.
