HC Deb 19 July 2004 vol 424 c80W
Paul Holmes

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how much(a) his Department and (b) agencies of the Department have spent on electricity use for each year from 1997 to date. [181395]

Mr. Pond

Since DWP came into being, its total spend on electricity was £10,097,555 and £11,394,575 in 2001–02 and 2002–03 respectively. Figures are not yet available for 2003–04.

It is not possible to provide an accurate breakdown of spend to Agency level, as invariably DWP buildings are occupied by a number of the Department's businesses.
