HL Deb 12 July 2004 vol 663 c115WA
Lord Laird

asked Her Majesty's Government: What consultations took place with officials of the Eire Government before that Government announced on 3 December 2003 the relocation of the Irish Language Agency to Donegal.

The Lord President of the Council (Baroness Amos):

There was no consultation with officials of the Irish Government before the announcement on 3 December 2003 on the proposed relocation of the Irish Language Agency to Donegal. However the announcement made it clear that any such move would be subject to NSMC agreement.
