asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have been kept informed of the conditions in which members of the previous Iraqi Government, including Mr Tariq Aziz, are held, and of how they are interrogated; whether these conditions are appropriate; and whether they accord with the Geneva Convention relating to prisoners of war. [HL2789]

Lord Bach:

Conditions in which Iraqis detained by US forces are held are a matter for them to comment on. However, the United States is a signatory to the Geneva Conventions and we are not aware of any allegations that members of the previous Iraqi Government have been mistreated.
