HC Deb 29 January 2004 vol 417 c508W
Mr. Hammond

To ask the Deputy Prime Minister whether it is the Government's policy that the proposals for elected regional assemblies will not involve any review of the Barnett formula. [150078]

Mr. Raynsford

There are no plans to review the Barnett formula as a result of elected regional assemblies. The Government keeps all aspects of public spending under review, with allocations to the devolved administrations and the details of the Barnett formula updated in the spending review process in the normal way.
