The UK's trade with Uzbekistan is at a relatively low level. Bilateral trade totalled £36 million in 2002. Uzbekistan is a difficult market for exporters and investors. The Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council (UBTIC) meets annually to discuss issues related to the development of bilateral trade.
