To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how many EU member states have yet to ratify the Montreal Convention. [157128]

§ Mr. McNulty
For legal reasons it is intended that ratification of the Montreal Convention by the European Community and by individual EU member states should be synchronised. The Commission is pressing member states to finalise their internal ratification procedures as soon as possible. The UK is ready to ratify the Convention.
