Letter from Len Cook to David Davis, dated 10 February 2004: As National Statistician, I have been asked to reply to your recent question concerning the latest figures for the death rate from (a) cancer and (b) coronary heart disease for the (i) East Riding of Yorkshire and (ii) United Kingdom; and what they were in 1997. (154166) Death rates are included in the attached table for 1997 and 2002, the latest year for which figures are currently available.
