To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a further statement on(a) the Government's policy on the Central Railway project and (b) the timescale for Ministers to consider and decide upon the request by Central Railway plc for the Government to support a hybrid bill. [153144]

No timetable has been set. We are considering Central Railway's proposals carefully and will respond in due course.
