§ Alun MichaelThe High Court ruled, on 23 May 2003, that odour from sewage works is within the scope of the statutory nuisance regime and that mosquito nuisance is not. Thames Water has appealed against that ruling. If the appeal is successful, further legislative change may be necessary. The Government are now waiting for a decision by the House of Lords.
