§ Paul GogginsOf those prisoners who have absconded from Sudbury in 2003–04, up to 15 January 2004, one was serving a sentence for murder. None of the remainder were serving sentences for grievous bodily harm or sex offences. The information in respect of other open prisons is not immediately available. I will write to the hon. Member as soon as possible to provide a full answer.
