To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many students were admitted to the UK under the seasonal agricultural workers scheme from(a) Romania and (b) Bulgaria in (i) 2001, (ii) 2002 and (iii) 2003. [168377]

The latest available information is for 2001 to 2003, and is given in the table. Participants under the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme must be students in full-time education and aged 18 or over.
