§ John HealeyThe Government announced in PBR 2002 that it would commission a study into the environmental and health effects of all waste management and disposal options. It remains the Government's intention to consider the case for using economic instruments for incineration in light of this work, taking account of the views of stakeholders.
PBR 2003 noted that the first of two stages of this work was being reviewed, with the aim of publishing the complete study in the spring.
