Norwich Pension center is the largest center in the country, having a Pension Credit case load alone of 184,000.

The center currently receives on average 11,490 written customer communications per week, consisting chiefly of notifications of changes of individual circumstances, but including customer complaints. While not all of these communications necessitate a reply to the customer, most will require an intervention to the computer records in order to assess any action that may be required.

Norwich Pension center currently has 22,082 of these notifications outstanding, which for this particular Pension center, represents a normal two weeks head of work.
