HL Deb 18 September 2003 vol 652 c201WA
Lord Jopling

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many vaccinated nurses would normally be expected to work with one vaccinated doctor in the event of the need to deal with an outbreak of smallpox. [HL4358]

Baroness Andrews

For every three vaccinated doctors forming part of the smallpox regional response team, there are two vaccinated nurses, who would deal with the direct care of the patient and follow-up of their contacts.
