HL Deb 10 September 2003 vol 652 cc119-20WA
Lord Laird

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Further to the Written Answer by the Lord President on 25 June (WA 21) concerning waiting lists in Northern Ireland since 1 January, whether all possible facilities for paediatric renal isotope scans have been in use; and, if not, why. [HL3668]

Lord Williams of Mostyn

The paediatric renal isotope scanning facilities at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children have not been in use due to prioritisation of resources at the hospital. However, arrangements have been in place to provide children with the renal isotope scanning service at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Additional funding has now been made available to allow the operation of all facilities.
