Further to the Written Answer by the Lord President on 7 July (WA 4) concerning the budget of the Language Implementation Body, why consideration was not given to changing the proportionality of the two governments' input into the budgets for 2003, 2004 and 2005. [HL3926]

The proportionality of funding between the UK Government and the Irish Government for each of the North/South Implementation Bodies is determined on the basis of the benefit to each jurisdiction from their activities, and is reviewed as part of the normal budget process
