HC Deb 08 September 2003 vol 410 c16W
Mr. Peter Duncan

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what recent representations he has received from the Scottish Executive on difficulties arising out of non-coterminous electoral boundaries in Scotland. [128012]

Mrs. McGuire

No representations have been received recently from the Scottish Executive on non-coterminous constituency boundaries. However, the Executive's response in March 2002 to the Scotland Office's consultation on the size of the Scottish Parliament included its views on the possible difficulties that might arise from having different constituency boundaries between Westminster and Holyrood. These are recorded in the summary of the consultation responses which was placed in the Library of the House on 18 December 2002.
