Letter from David Anderson to Mr. Mark Francois, dated 28 October 2003:
As Jobcentre Plus is an Executive Agency, the Secretary of State has asked me to reply to your question concerning the number of Jobcentre Plus staff employed in Essex. This is something which falls within the responsibilities delegated to me as Chief Executive of the Agency.In answer to your question, a total of 1,080 full time and 433 part time staff were employed by Jobcentre Plus in Essex on 1 September 2003. This equates to 1,371 full time staff.I hope this is helpful.
