§ Mr. JamiesonThe Department has not produced a school based cycle helmet awareness programme booklet. However the Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust has produced, "Guidelines for setting up a successful school based helmet awareness programme" booklet with Government grant financing some of the costs. The principal aims of the BHIT guidelines, to encourage school children to wear cycle helmets, are consistent with Government policy.
