§ Hilary BennThe SADC Regional HIV/AIDS programme aims to promote improved effectiveness and co-ordination of HIV/AIDS programmes in Botswana,
Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland. It operates five programmes in each of the four countries:
Improved management of sexually transmitted infections, focused particularly on cross border sites;Support to strengthen and co-ordinate the work of National AIDS Commissions;Condom social marketing;Support to people living with HIV and AIDS;Support for behaviour change communication campaigns.More detail on the individual national components and their methods is available from the SADC HIV/ AIDS Programme at Private Bag X828, Pretoria 0001, South Africa.
