Salisbury Transportation Package

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he will complete his review of the Salisbury Transportation Package. [132923]

Department for Transport Officials are currently working with Wiltshire County Council and Salisbury District Council to complete a re-appraisal of the transport package following an increase in scheme costs since the initial bid in the 2000 Local Transport Plan.

It is anticipated that this work will be completed in time for an announcement on future funding to be made in the Local Transport Plan settlement, which we expect to announce in December 2003.
