To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if adequate protective equipment is available to British military units using organophosphate pesticides; and if he will make a statement. [94734]

[holding answer 3 February 2003]: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for use by United Kingdom armed forces is available through the normal supply chain. The Ministry of Defence has procedures in place to enable requirements for PPE to be met within the specified timescales.
