Friend the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has met the President of Alstom UK, constituency MPs and trade unions to discuss Alstom's restructuring plans and their impact on the company's 442W operations in the UK. The Government also have a role through its regional agencies in providing the best available help for the individuals who may be affected.
