There are currently no formal arrangements whereby the recommendations of the National Institute for Clinical Excellence are applied in Northern Ireland. The remit of NICE does not currently extend to Northern Ireland. Negotiations are under way with NICE with a view to extending its remit to Northern Ireland as soon as this can practically be arranged.
