To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he plans to allow all children who wish to remain in education until age 19 to do so. [130256]

The Government encourage young people in Northern Ireland to continue in full-time education beyond the compulsory school leaving age of 16 and as far as possible facilitate the decisions of those who wish to do so subject of course to the entrance requirements of the specific institution.
