§ Miss Melanie Johnson:Directive 2002/46/EC on Food Supplements came into force on 12 July 2002 and had to be implemented into member states' national legislation by 31 July 2003. The Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 were laid before Parliament on 2 June 2003 and the provisions will come into force on 1 August 2005. Parallel legislation has been made in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
