§ Mr. HuttonThere is no list of inclusions or omissions regarding the non-medical products that may be used by midwives within the course of their clinical practice. Such decisions are taken locally by employing organisations. There are no special financial arrangements in place outside normal budgetary procedures.
Those midwives trained as nurse prescribers will be able to prescribe these products, including compression hosiery, listed in Part IX of the drug tariff.
