§ Mr. MilibandInformation on school intake type (selective or non-selective entry) as reported by schools was collected for the first time in 2003. For earlier years it is possible to identify grammar schools, but not other school types with selective entry.
Therefore, information on grammar, other selective schools and non-selective schools is provided for 2003 only. For 1999 through to 2002 information is provided for grammar schools and all other schools, which might include some selective-entry schools.
